Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $33.00-$37.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 135-19 Helmcken Road, Victoria BC V8Z 5G5

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook complete meals and ensure the quality meets restaurant standards
• Customize dishes to accommodate customers’ dietary needs or allergies requests
• Monitor inventory levels and arrange for food and kitchen supply needs to be met
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with regulations
• Mentor and support cooks in proper cooking techniques, plating, and food handling
• Train and support kitchen staff in cooking techniques and safe kitchen practices
• Contribute to menu development by suggesting seasonal or specialty items

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
