Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $37.00~$38.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 201-2020 Oxford Connector, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 0A4

Job Duties:

• Prepare and plan menu items while maintaining consistency with the restaurant’s quality standards
• Uphold strict standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety throughout all kitchen operations
• Monitor ingredient inventory and coordinate the timely ordering or repairing of supplies
• Modify recipes and ingredients to accommodate customers’ dietary restrictions and allergy concerns
• Supervise kitchen team in proper cooking methods and safe, efficient kitchen practice
• Mentor cooks in their preparation, presentation, and food handling techniques
• Collaborate on menu development by recommending new or seasonal offerings

Job requirements:

• Experience: 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
