Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $29.00-$37.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 249 East 57th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5X 1S6

Job Duties:

• Conduct developmental assessments for each child and design individualized learning plans that align with their unique needs and growth patterns
• Design, implement, and evaluate early learning programs that foster holistic development across physical, cognitive, emotional, and social domains
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that prioritizes children’s health, security, and overall well-being
• Provide leadership and mentorship by supervising assistants, trainees, and volunteers, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality care and education
• Facilitate creative exploration through diverse mediums such as art, drama, music, and active play, encouraging self-expression and problem-solving
• Monitor and document children’s developmental or behavioural challenges, preparing professional reports and recommendations for parents and supervisors
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
• Develop and implement behavioural guidelines that promote respect, inclusion, and positive social interaction within the classroom

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2-3 years of related experience is required
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, ECE Certificate
