YF Custom Flooring LTD is looking for Tilesetters
Victoria & surrounding area, Vancouver Island BC
F/Time, Permanent
Salary – $25.00 hourly
Experience 2-3 years, good English.
Education: High school.
Main duties:
- Measure surfaces that need to be tiled, determine quantities of materials required;
- Prepare, clean and mark surfaces;
- Cut and shape tiles using power and hand tools;
- Apply cement, glue or other adhesives and form tile beds;
- Set tiles, tap into place carefully to affix tiles to base;
- Align tiles and straighten them using professional tools;
- Fill joints with filler compound and remove excess compound;
- Install variety of tiles and tile strips to create decorative wall and floor designs;
- Replace cracked or damaged tiles;
- Cut, install, polish and surface granite or marble;
- Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces.
