Position Info:

• Position: First Cook
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $27.50 – $29.50/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 11156 84 Ave, Delta, BC V4C 2L7

• 4% vacation pay

 

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook entire meals and individual dishes and food items
• Keep track of food, supplies, and equipment inventory and records
• Order kitchen supplies and equipment
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Keep the kitchen and work area clean and sanitized
• Plan menus, determine the sizes of food portions, and estimate food requirements and expenses
• Train other kitchen staff in the methods of food preparation, cooking, and handling of food
• Recruit and hire kitchen staff

 

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
